Impact of the outbreak on EU programmes

In these times of uncertainty, the European Commission has adapted many of their guidelines and deadlines to palliate the negative effects of the COVID-19 crisis on horizontal programmes.

During the months of February and March, additional funding was allocated to Horizon 2020 projects that aimed to find solutions to the health crisis.

The Erasmus+ and the European Solidarity Corps are offering maximum flexibility to ensure the safety and well-being of the participants, as well as allowing projects to be postponed.

Online events and conferences have become the norm for the next months, which might actually bring new opportunities of collaboration for the OCTs, by accelerating the transition to online training.
