Jimena Arango Montanez

Research, Education and Innovation

Colombian and French national, she has been working as a research consultant and expert in different fields such as Information Society Technologies for development for Latin America and the Caribbean region (e-government, e-learning) under the European Commission’s Framework Programme 6 and FP7. She has also followed several projects on the Andean regional education policies in Latin America, as well as the Erasmus Mundus Higher Education research cluster for South East Asia fostering international higher education cooperation and the challenges in the light of interregional cooperation (LLP Programme). Currently she has been developing scientific R&D&I knowledge transfer platforms, research mobility and facilitating bridges for innovation, in Latin America & the Caribbean through projects such as EUCARINET, ENLACE, CaribErasmus and @LIS. In parallel, she has been collaborating with the design of project management solutions for international cooperation projects. She graduated from Political science and International Relations (Los Andes, Bogota) with a Master’s degree on Sociology & Information Society (Sorbonne, Paris) and an MBA on EU Project Management (CNAM, Paris).
